What will happen next? Well, first, Gorok and Wulf will wake up early, snoogle a bit, have to cope with a snowcat bouncing on them at the moment of snoogling, etc. Then, if they go to the mess hall for breakfast, Markulon won't be such a jerk, although he'll still be somewhat cold to Gorok. I think Sovil will be a ... changed man in the morning. Especially when he realizes the worms were probably planted by someone he once admired, respected, maybe even slept with. And when he is able to accept the fact that Gorok saved his life without having to do anything about it. This will be a slow transformation, but the glimmerings will start tomorrow morning.

They will also have to ask Sovil about who saw him, etc. (Are the worms swallowed? Could the worm eggs or whatever have been spread on the skin before the floggin, only he didn't realize what it was?) They will get some clues on who did it. Not Kensin, that would be too obvious. If they find the person who did it, what will happen to that person? Hmmm.

Also, the food poisoning scene has to come up (whoops, sorry!) sometime. Amazing. I hate vomiting and yet I'm writing this story that had an intense vomiting scene and will have more eventually. Maybe I'm dealing with my feelings about vomiting this way. After all, if Glenn Gould who hated the cold could write the Idea of North... No, no, I am not going to write the Idea of Vomiting! :-<

After that, eventually, perhaps Gorok and Wulf are given some time off by the guards because of their hard work. They will use this time to go in the forest and hunt for herbs, and hunt for each other.
