Remind me to never ever take such a long break from my novel again, even if it's for good reasons. :( Once the reasons are pretty much taken care of, it's way to hard to get back into it.
Tonight I may have found just the boost back into the novel -- a back door into the book. In the Fantastic Byways question at Forward Motion, I asked a question about one of my earlier novels that I wanted to redo one of these days. An SF novel based on Shakespeare's "Measure for Measure" -- although more romance (with tormented hero) than SF novel. Just asking about it and talking about it got me interested in it. Then I opened up the opening chapters and realized that it didn't suck as much as I'd thought. Certainly the Leona/Maddox scenes rock!
So I will reread this, and then I will get the energy back and go back to poor, lonely Gorok and Wulf!
