We had the class at work where we discussed the Leona and Maddox chapters, but the only two people able to attend (at first) hadn't read them yet. :( On the plus side, I was able to ask lots of questions and get worldbuilding and plot ideas out of them. I didn't agree with them all ;) but they had some good ones.

I worked out yet another block in the Leona and Maddox novel. I decided that the whole thing with her mother still being alive and secretly insane and in truth the person who plotted to overthrow the government was just too bloody much. So I went back to what I had originally -- she's dead and was killed by a criminal some years before. However, and here's the big difference, Leona's father is actually guilty. The story was kicked back into gear when I decided a reporter had gotten a picture of Leona and Maddox kissing. So of course, Maddox confuses all the other politicians by confessing right away and resigining. They just don't understand that. ;-) Lots of chaos to come.

I think my big worry with Gorok and Wulf is what to do with the journal entries -- which are now going to be treated as first person narration. Do I put Gorok's part first and finish the chapter with Wulf's POV? Chopping them up is too jarring. But will Wulf's parts get repetitive even if I tried to avoid repetition of dialogue? Sigh. Maybe I can do better with Gorok and Wulf if I just put aside my worries about the journal entries out of my mind for now and just finish the bloody things.
