Last week, I bought a book called Jeff Herman's Guide to Book Publishers, Editors, & Literary Agents
." It looks very useful. I've started going through the agent listings. This one is better than a lot of the on-line listing because most of the authors are AAR (Association of Authors' Representatives) agents.
I also found one of my old notebooks with ideas, etc. Damn if some of them didn't look interesting all over again. Just what I need, more bloody ideas for novels. :-P Interestingly, it had a few ideas for on the fantasy novel based on "The Changeling," which I've been thinking of going back to. I also found references to old stories I'd written in (gasp) pre-computer days. I hope I still have the drafts. I wouldn't want to lose them. Even the ones that sucked. On top of that, when I "organized" a couple of boxes in the dining room today, I found more ideas. I also found some rejection slips and at least one typed short story.
I've become a "Passions" fan again. I stopped listening to it on the TV band radio because Sheridan seemed to be in labor for about three months. ;) But unfortunately, I missed a great story about Julian and Eve being in love again! Oh, pooh! :( I hope they end up in love again for sweeps or something.
