Palmie Is Back Home!
Right where he belongs! It came home earlier this week. They replaced the capacitors (I knew
there had to be something wrong with them) and the stuck power button, and according to the paperwork, they also repaired the system board. Wow. They did include documentation asserting that they wouldn't fix the cosmetic changes, such as the minor scratches on the glass, the broken hinge (the flip-up cover came off), and the small crack on the back. I never even noticed that crack! Anyway, it restarted and reloaded properly, although I haven't taken much in the way of lunch at the office lately.
It would be ironic if, now that Palm was back, I went to lunch and ended up writing in my paper notebook. But that's where my outlines are -- all three that I've been working on lately are in the same little notebook. I hope none of them get too complicated, or I'll run out of room. ;-)
I didn't do much more with the Gorok and Wulf outline. I couldn't decide on what to do. I think I might solve my problem by having Jupe work alone or with another group of mages. Having Gorok, Wulf, Jupe, and
Kensin meandering about the ancient city together would get too crowded. Sure, there would be great comic possibilities, but... I will have to find more for Jupe to do, though, as I'm thinking something sad happens to him that eventually triggers a crisis in the story.
