Palm Still Acting Flakey

It was behaving for a while. Over several days, I managed to read Horatio Alger's "Ragged Dick" on it plus a couple of short stories by E. F. Benson (and a tiny story by Anonymous), as well as play the trial version of "Bike or Die" and the freeware SolPoker (a lot. And the battery was draining at a normal speed. It was around 79% at the last time I checked.

Then, last night, I took it out of my bookbag, and the battery was almost at zero. But it had been in my bookbag a lot, and the bookbag had gotten crowded. Poor Palmie. :-(

Someone suggested a Palm shareware program called Power 1.3. It prevents button presses from turning on the Palm. I've downloaded the trial version, and I'll see if it helps. It was a little hard to get used to at first -- I had trouble turning it on at all! Well that will conserve the batteries.... ;-)

You can get it here (this is the Palmgear URL):

A Tiny Rant about Places Selling Fairy Stuff

Do all the fairies (or faeries if you prefer, or the fey, or...) have to be so darn adorable? I go into sugar shock when I look at some of them. Pretty is fine, cute is fine, but ... wow. Can't someone make some that are lovely but closer to nature spirits? Maybe even regal or arrogant? Maybe people who like twee fairies wouldn't like them, but there could be a market for people who like fairies but don't want the twee stuff.

I've found some that I like, but of course, those are way out of my price range.
