Lots of Things

I have been neglecting my poor Blog.

Before I say anything, I'd better mention that I attended my nephew's wedding this weekend. It was a very nice ceremony. It was hard to believe that little boy who used to read my Conan comic books was up there in a tux, getting married.

Also, I wrote a letter to Russell Oberlin (forwarded through his college), thanking him for his music becuase it was so helpful when I learned that I had cancer, when I went through the surgery and recovery. In mid-September, I received a really nice reply. And on top of that, his signature is much neater than mine. :-)

I finally got back into the infamous Chapter Five. I decided to have Tregar (the insane ghost head) command the palace ghosts to attack rather than giving up after he is merely batted against the wall. However, this weekend, I didn't work on it because I was recovering from Sinuses of Fire. Instead, I rested and watched several DVDs: Freaks, Werewolf Shadow (finally, Paul Naschy's tortured werewolf count movies are being released uncut into the U.S.), and North by Northwest. I had been reluctant about North by Northwest because I had seen it so many times before, but of course, I quickly realized I had forgotten so much about it.

Passions Update

I really should praise the makers of Passions. After all this time, the story is finally moving -- although some stories still move in circles. But at least, after all those years, Eve finally told her husband T.C. the truth about her past. Took her bloody long enough. Passions stretched that story out so long the plot looked like panty hose that had been through the shredder. Still, kudos to the makers of Passions for finally letting Eve reveal everything. Never mind that it was no longer believeable that she would hold back, at least it finally happened, and luckily, the performances were really good and helped to hold up the script. Also, finally, finally, Eve got to make whoopie with Julian. Let's look at the score card. Eve gets to make love with Julian. Her angry husband T.C. has sex with Eve's eeevil sister Liz. Looks like Eve got the best end of that trade.
